Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on August 5 for its third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, when she was both the host and the moderator. It was only when she began writing that her passion for writing began to emerge. She also won an Emmy for hosting, and an award-winning comedy talk show. Between 2002 and the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. The previous assignments included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo following the events of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. There, she tracked down and interviewed the father who commanded hijackers for an eye-opening and captivating interview. Chen Moonves's stories feature newsmakers such as former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian, William Cohen (former Defense Secretary), and celebrities like Denzel Washington. Before joining The Early Show he was the CBS owned station reporter at New York City, WCBS. She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the affiliate news service of the network, and she was an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her final year at the University of Southern California. This was her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of the journalists she admires.
