Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the United States. When she was in 1990, shortly after starting her career as model, Suvari began to act in television programs like Boy Meets World. She debuted in film with the show Nowhere which was released in 1997. Her roles on the film American Beauty, for which she received the BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader public attention. She was in the film industry for a year, and appeared in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2001, she took on the lead part in Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun And Trauma the thriller film from 2004, featured two of her performances. In addition, she was a part of HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 she received a nomination as an Outstanding Cast at the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was featured in several movies such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as in the adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous fashion blogs and magazines as well as Vogue. She's an official Lancome model, and is featured on ads in print for Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari has been a loyal supporter and activist for the esteemed African relief organization The African Medical and Research Foundation. She also is active on issues of female empowerment and works with organizations that support breast cancer awareness and women's rights and the End Violence Against Women Campaign. She is best known for her appearances in TV shows including Dark Angel Heroes The Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper as well as the most viewed of her peers Rookie Blue. Her modeling credits include high-profile campaigns such as Mercedes-Benz Sprint Canada & the Olympics. Missy's movies include the films Stick It Backcountry Red and Wide Awake.
